Ahead of NARCAN®'s monumental FDA approval, we prioritized digital e-commerce and built touchpoints to test consumers' opioid knowledge. Not only did we let them know where they can buy in-store, we reinforced that NARCAN® is a product worth considering.

The Process

The public has a stereotype of who has opioid overdoses — so we interviewed people across the U.S. and asked "Who do you think NARCAN® is for?"

While some responses relied on outdated clichés, they unknowingly revealed friends and family that could benefit from carrying NARCAN® too. We disrupted this stereotype by designing a Reality Checker that tests your bias and returns the real facts.

Bottom Line

Accidental opioid overdoses are a leading crisis in the U.S. and NARCAN® has been proven to save lives. Having the medicine available over-the-counter while changing its perception is a benefit to all of us.

Hoping that you'll never have to administer it, this new site stands as a tool to find NARCAN® near you and be prepared before the time comes to act.
